Until the international airport Charles de Gaulle opened in 1974, Orly Airport (ORY) was the most important aviation gateway to Paris. It ranks as the second most important airport in Paris, with dozens of airlines connecting regional cities across Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Orly airport is 14 km or about 9 miles south of the center of Paris, on the other side of the city from Charles de Gaulle. It has two terminals, Orly Sud and Orly Ouest, both to navigate smaller and easier than their counterparts at CDG. Orly has good transport to the city, and it’s especially useful if you’re staying on the left.

RER B: Driverless Orlyval shuttle trains connect the airport and Orly Sud Ouest’s terminals to the Antony station of the RER B line. This is where you can transfer to an RER train into the heart of Paris. A ticket for the entire journey costs € 12.05 for adults and half-price for children between 4 and 10. (Children under four travel free.) Your combined ticket is valid on the Orlyval train, the RER, and the subway.
Buy your ticket at the RATP Orlyval / Orlybus booth in the terminal. You subsequently go up the escalator to the elevated train station. Ensure that the ticket remains with you throughout the journey. (You will need for the turnstiles at Antony and the RER needed to leave.)
If you are connecting from Orly Paris Airport to Charles de Gaulle airport, buy an Orlyval / RER ticket to Roissy and boarded a train B3 to the Antony RER station. (Other B trains not to CDG.)
